Birmingham Pride 2010
75,000 people from around the UK descended on Birmingham for the 14th annual Pride festival.
The event, which took place on 29 and 30 May, has become one of the biggest free LGBT festivals in the UK. This year pride was Equality Over The Decade.
It all kicked off on the Saturday with a parade of around a dozen motorised floats and hundreds of people from the LGBT community through the city centre before ending up directly in the gay village.
Rain did not stop play
The rain did not dampen the spirit of the occasion with many of the spectators and the marchers getting wet. The afternoon and all day Sunday saw the sun come out and as usual crowds were delighted with the free entertainment.
