File 373The Paul Patrick Awards event takes place this Saturday, bringing together the award winners from across the region for a day of networking, sharing experiences and working together to strengthen the voice of young LGBT people in London.

The Consortium provided London youth groups with grants to engage LGBT young people in the political and social workings of London as part of the Paul Patrick Awards 2010.

The day will begin at 10.00am and finish at 5.30pm. There will be an informal drinks reception after the conference. This is an excellent opportunity for you to network with other people from the LGBT third sector around the UK.

Representing Your Communities

The Consortium has been working in partnership with the Federation for Community Development Learning to develop an accredited course “Representing Your Communities”. LGB communities are increasingly receiving opportunities to contribute to partnerships and those who take on this role need to become skilled at working in partnerships, representing their community, and developing their knowledge of the issues involved in such engagement. It is hoped that this course will be delivered in partnership with the Consortium and with any existing local, sub-regional or regional networks.
