Community Calendar

Back in January 2011 at the Consortium's AGM the Membership proposed that we explore providing a national LGBT web based calendar (Resolution 6c). The Community Calendar project is a direct response to the proposal.

The first Member organisation to start using the Community Calendar is LGBT History Month. The information and back-office technology that makes up the calendar display is hosted and provided by the Consortium, the way in which the activities are displayed was customised specifically for that Member.

The advantage of the Community Calendar is that the same activity entered on one Member's website is then available to be displayed on any calendar on other Members' websites. The type of events and the way in which they are displayed is configurable for that organisation or group.
