2012 has been a significant year both for The LGF and the LGB&T community.
June marked the centenary of one of our community’s most revered figures – Alan Turing and The LGF marked this by awarding him a posthumous Homo Hero award. The tragedy of Alan’s death remains a relevant reminder as to why we are still taking action against homophobia and saying ‘Enough is Enough!’.
In 2012 thousands of people signed up to our campaign and showed commitment to ending homophobia, marching with Pride though the streets of Manchester in August.
In tough economic times, we’d like to thank our hundreds of volunteers and supporters who this year gave their time and energy to help us continue our work.
December saw the historic announcement around marriage equality and as we move into next year The LGF will be urging people to take action for their Love Equal Marriage campaign
We pledge to still be here when you need us in 2013.
Happy New Year!
